These images are the result of three game drives at the Kwa Lefekeng Bush Lodge, two hours from Johannesburg. Game crossed roads mindless of the safari trucks, carrying amazed visitors.
Never forgetting the Apartheide, Cape Town has embraced the 21st century as well. These images depict the landscape — Table mountain, almost always visible — the food — from delectable oysters to koeksisters — to Robben Island, to vineyards and lastly to MOCAA, where African artists such as Joel Andrianomearisoa and Nicholas Hlobo exhibit impressive works. Nearby, the exquisite Silo Hotel is an upscale hotel near the waterfront in the heart of the Cape. Each room has been meticulously designed by Liz Biden.
Boulders Beach in Simon’s town is the home of the African Penguin, the smallest penguin known to date. They’re referred to as Jackass Penguins because of a loud braying sound they make.
Knysna was enveloped by fires in June. Situated in the southeast section of the Cape the area is known for its fish and for the humpback whales, which frequent the seas.
