Lufthansa revealed its new brand image to customers and employees at two major events at the Frankfurt and Munich hubs on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018. The fleet receives new livery after almost 30 years. Replacing the bright yellow logo that identified the airline is a crisply designed crane and font, reminiscent of Bauhaus designers of the 1930s. In the next few years all of Lufthansa’s 350 airplanes will be painted in white.
I was among the journalists and photographers at the press conference conducted by Alexander Schlaubitz, Carsten Spohr and Andreas Bartels in Frankfurt on Wednesday morning and the stunning event, held that evening in a Lufthansa hangar. Thanks to fellow journalist Tom Pallini, who had toured the city upon arrival and had known what to see and where to go, we were able to zoom around town and have a bird’s-eye view of the city from the Main Tower the following afternoon before meeting our host Tal Muscal, Director of Group Communications for Lufthansa in the Americas, for a typical Bavarian dinner at Pauline Restaurant.
